Book Summary

Seventeen-year-old Ember McCarty is an orphan. Along with her little sister Lucie, they live in the Element Kingdom, ruled by the tyrant King Sadim. After Ember assassinates the prince, she's banished out to the Element Woods where there are rumored to be deadly mythical creatures. Things take a sharp turn as she runs into something unexpected: people. Soon she discovers there's more to the forest than meets the naked eye.
