It's um, been a while. I'm still not done with the book, but I'm STUCK. I have no idea what I wanna do.
I'm gonna try to write right now, but I can't promise anything... but I'll try.

So yeah guys. That's NaNoWriMo for 2012. I'm done... :)

I changed my word count goal. But I don't care about the word count, I care about my story and word count isn't everything. Again, I want a good story, not necessarily a long one. And I'll be writing all through December, too, to finish my story off. 

Shoutout to EVERYONE! Everyone who reads my blogs, who helped me thru my story, who wants to read my story, to everyone. This has been amazing and I will be doing this next year... But thank you so so so so SO much :)

SHOUTOUT and UPDATES

Hi. I didn't post yesterday cuz I was so busy. SHOUTOUT to Kennedy, one of my my Instagram bestfriends :) she's super sweet and she's helped me through mini depression before... So thanks, luv ya girl ;)

OMG GUYS I changed my wordcount. It's 17,000. If I change it anymore, It's gonna be bad. I just have to write and write and write and write and yeah. But 17,000 is a reasonable goal, about 2,400 more words in 3 days. I'm good.

I don't really have anything to say... so... NaNoWriMo is over :( So sad *sniff* I'll turn this blog into my personal/writing blog, because I want to write another book. IDK is I need a sequel though... I need to think about that. Love you guys :)

Depressed and Happy

So I'm really depressed, sick of rumors, and really scared. I am really scared. I guess I should write so that I can get my mind off of it.

I am really happy though, I've got 2 co-owners to my Instagram One Direction account and they're AWESOME:)

So I just wrote a death scene. And I'm really sad now. So sad... :'(

I stop dead in my tracks. The horror of the scene is beyond terrifying, and grief rips through me like diamonds cutting through glass.

Addy is kneeling by a body, her tears dripping over the young girl’s body. She’s shaking her head and whispering things desperately to the body.

“No, please, don’t die, no,” she tips her head to the sky and cries in agony.

“None of this would have happened if I never came here,” I say, overcome by my selfishness.

“No, everyone likes you. Especially Cole,” he raises his eyebrows amused. “Cole likes you a lot,”

“Stop,” I mumble and laugh at the same time. He grins and hugs me.

“Night, Ems,” he hugs me and heads off to his bed. I get up and head to bed, smiling.

Sorry. I really like those lyrics. So anyways, I've been having writer's block on and off. I wrote like 1500 words yesterday and like 300 today. But, I'm 67% through my goal, If I work hard today and tomorrow I will be able to finish. NaNo is almost over... Word Count

Ok so I know I promised that 20,000 was my final goal, but I lowered it. 18,000. I really feel like I can't do 20,000 because it just feels like it's too much and I want to write quality material, not a long story. I know I'm not lowering it anymore, because I don't want it to be a short story.

This plays a big role in the book... Between two lovers :) Yes, there will be a heartbreak, and yes, there will be a love triangle. I don't want love to be a big part in the book, so I've decided to space it out in my story as my friends suggested. There will be cute scenes... And there will be boy teams. Team ____ or Team ____, you decide who you want her to choose ;)

Excerpt!

There’s a diamond cut chandelier as big as our old house hanging at the entryway, and it sparkles and glimmers in the daylight. The ceilings are probably ten feet tall, and there are multiple skylights that let the sun shine through. The marble floors are polished, not a speck of dust on anything. A wooden staircase as wide as Angus’s cabin sits in the center, revealing an equally amazing upstairs.

Writer's Block and Cheesy Love Scenes

So basically, I wrote a cheesy love scene in my story. Then I had extreme writer's block... But you're gonna love my love scene haha. My friend Michelle ( seekingheavens.blogspot.com ) had a mini heart attack of cuteness after reading it. Well... Ok... I don't feel comfortable writing it but it's cute :)

Excerpt :)

Elemental Soldiers are scarier than anything you could ever imagine. Tall, muscular men clad in combat boots, black armor and a helmet, always equipped with a sword or a bow and arrows. Their helmets vaguely resemble a dragon’s eyes, with slanted glowing red eyes. The symbol on their chest plates signify what faction they belong in, whether it’s water, earth, air, sky or the most powerful, fire. Which faction they belong in determines their stance in the army, and what weapons they fight with. An encounter with an Elemental Soldier is never a good one.

I'm so sorry, I don't have time to write up a character interview, but there will be one soon~ I wrote a little today, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to write more later.... homework and stuff -_- I should make it to 10% of my goal by Wednesday though :) I promise I'll give you an excerpt tomorrow, and I'll start a summary.

Ember Flames Excerpt

I suddenly trip on thick tree roots and land face first into the damp earth. The soldiers’ footsteps come nearer, and then fade. They’re barking in each other in the Elemental language, a language so ancient only the royal family and their soldiers know. I sit up, taking in my surroundings. The forest is damp and the air is humid, and it’s silent. Taking a deep breath, I continue deeper into the woods, knowing I may as well be walking through the doors of my own death.
